The SuperFlow AC Motoring option greatly expands your chassis dynamometer's capabilities!
Using our experience in emissions test lanes, sophisticated electronics and rapid-response electric motors, SuperFlow has developed an emissions-grade AC Motoring option for automotive, motorcycle and All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) chassis dynamometers. This advanced technology is available on SuperFlow's CycleDyn, AutoDyn-30 and 800 series chassis dynamometers.
This hardware and software system motors the test vehicle so you can perform emissions drive cycles and inertia simulations, evaluate frictional losses, map ECUs, and run many other engineering-grade test procedures. Using the AC Motoring option, you can test brakes, differentials, and chassis components and can run many tests without running the test vehicle's engine.
This new AC Motoring option provides an economical alternative to Federal Test Procedure (FTP) equipment. SuperFlow found that test results closely correlate to the larger roll sizes specified by some governing bodies.
The AC Motoring option includes SuperFlow's Drivers Trace software which integrates with WinDyn to help the operator perform various test cycles. Drivers Trace presents a moving, on-screen driver's aid that helps the user follow a prescribed drive cycle.

- Simulate inertia, rolling losses, and aerodynamic effects
- Test brakes, differentials, and chassis components
- Test without the engine running
- Evaluate parasitic losses
- Test most light- to medium-duty vehicles
- Conduct affordable certification-grade emissions testing (FTP, EN/ECE, JISHA, etc.)
- Perform many tests without a running engine
- SuperFlow's Drivers Trace software included to help operators following predefined test cycles
- Perform any drive cycle by importing it into Drivers Trace software
- Available for SuperFlow's automotive and motorcycle chassis dynamometers
- Perform R&D economically, then take the fully developed vehicle to an independent facility for final certification
