With today's modern electronically controlled valve bodies, it is important to assure that the hydraulics and electronics are operation within designed parameters before mounting the unit on the transmission.
The Axiline Valve Body Tester (VBT) simulates the toughest driving conditions while testing electronic, hydraulic and vacuum systems. The VBT tests valve bodies, solenoids and pressure transducers using the same regulated pressure and heated oil that would act on the valve body when run in the vehicle. The VBT can pressurize the heated oil up to 1000 psi (207 kpa).
The Valve Body Tester has been designed to satisfy the test requirements of small transmission re-builder all the way through high volume OEM contractors.
The VBT works with TDAC, Axiline Electronic Shifter or SuperShifter shift controllers to fully exercise the valve body. The VBT features 11 separate gauges for each individual measured pressure circuit on the valve body; bands and clutch packs, etc. This accelerates test procedures by eliminating 'shared' gauges and the time it takes to switching from circuit to circuit. The Valve Body Tester exposes performance degradation caused by small cracks, imperfections and excessive valve wear. An integrated unit body tester pressurizes and checks oil flow through the clutch packs on the assembled transmission (less valve body) with optional adapters.
When testing is complete, the shift controller can record the test results for further analysis and as a record for your internal documentation.
