The TCRS Hubmaster is a machine designed for the high volume torque converter re-builder. This machine will align and weld a new precision ground hub on all popular impellers quickly and accurately; no 'indicating in' of the hub is required. It takes only 60 seconds for a complete cycle: align, auto-tack, auto-weld and remove. To facilitate repetitive production runs of the same part, a pneumatic ram quickly raises and lowers the weld gun into the same position as the previous weld. The Hubmaster can be equipped with an optional pulse arc system that drastically reduces spatter and heat dispersion.

The Hubmaster can weld a new hub, either butt mount or through mount, onto an impeller with a diameter range from 5" O.D. to 15.5" O.D. Designed with a center spindle alignment shaft and dedicated precision tooling, the Hubmaster accurately aligns the central axis of the hub to the impeller. The 3 Pie Jaw Chuck aligns the impeller concentric to the alignment shaft, and the dedicated collets hold the new hub concentric to the alignment shaft. In this way, the Hubmaster will consistently weld hubs to impellers under allowable run-out tolerances.
