Advanced ElectronicsThe SuperFlow Sensor Box employs our most advanced electronics. With two 32-bit microprocessors, expanded memory capacity, and variable filter algorithms, the Pro Box measures, conditions, and digitizes highresolution data at blazing speeds. Data is broadcast over an Ethernet network for display on WinDyn-equipped computers, or for use by other components of the sensor system. Up to 32,000 lines of data can be stored in the Pro Sensor Box memory, before transmission to the computer.
WinDyn® Enhances Test Results A barometric pressure transducer, air temperature, and a humidity sensor are used to measure atmospheric conditions during the test. SuperFlow's WinDyn uses this information to correct recorded data to worldwide standards (ECE, DIN, SAE, STP etc). This correction allows you to compare tests done on different days, at different temperatures, even at different altitudes. Optional sensors are available for wheel slip, airflow, and fuel flow. See sensor panel brochure for details.
Multi-functional Performance The same sensor box also handles closedloop, PID (Proportional, Integral, and Differential) control during loaded testing. The sensor box can control up to two devices, typically load (power absorber) and throttle (electronic throttle controller). Optional modules allow switching of the two control channels to additional devices for additional testing and test cell flexibility. For instance, you could have two dynamometer systems hooked up to the same sensor system. Without rewiring or reconfiguring the control devices, you control either dyno (not both at the same time) with a single sensor system.
The sensor box's flexible dual-mode control allows either the dyno (power absorber) or throttle to control to speed, torque, power, and manifold pressure. The controllers use sophisticated high-speed digital, software-controlled PID loops. You have up to four different modes and parameter settings available per controller. Additional features like our Relay Box can be integrated for full test cell automation. This allows you to easily perform real-world simulations and test automation.
Convenient Mobility The Pro Sensor Box comes mounted on a sturdy, roll-around stand with a five-spoke cast aluminum base and multidirectional casters. You move the sensor box where you need it. Optionally, it can be mounted on a boom, or directly to the wall. Its keyed entry helps prevent tampering and the rugged steel housing resists component damage. Premium quality connectors ensure the signals you collect get where they need to go.
Channel Displays The Sensor Box can be configured with eight liquid crystal displays (LCD) that show power, torque, wheel speed, engine speed, or any selected channel you wish to see. You configure what is displayed via WinDyn software.
