Piston Bonder

This machine thermally bonds a friction ring to a torque converter lockup piston or front cover. The system bonds a pre-glued friction disk to a properly prepared and cleaned piston using high temperature and extreme compressive pressure. The TCRS piston bonder is designed to accommodate the most common torque converter lockup clutches; it is operator friendly and fully automatic. It bonds most lockup pistons up to 14 inches in diameter including front covers. On average, it can complete a piston every 7 minutes.

This piston bonder eliminates down time and freight charges. SuperFlow has 28 different bonder dies readily available, and more than 60 special-order dies available. The dies are made of aluminum for fast, even heating. You can mount the piston bonder on a workbench or purchase an optional stand that provides storage for 28 dies. The unit can be upgraded and equipped with a 10" cylinder to exert more pressure on the parts to bond.
