HTDE-A
For Heavy-duty Applications
Hicklin Transmission Dynamometer Diesel - Attached - Cross Drive: for Military or Heavy-Duty Commercial applications.
The test stand features a 150 HP AC electric motor (460V, 3 ph, 60 Hz) with reduced voltage starter/controls powering a HYDROSTATIC hydraulic input power system for input drive power to Transmissions under test. Speed control is infinitely variable from 0 to 4,000 rpm at the operator's console, electric motor limited to 1800 RPM. The Power Absorption Unit (PAU), which connects to the transmission output, is an air-cooled, eddy-current design that requires a 110 V, 1ph, 30 Amp power supply.
The eddy-current PAU develops up to 1512 lb-ft intermittent load torque (525 lb/ft continuous), enabling full-power down-shifts to first gear in most heavy-duty, automatic transmissions. Stall torque measurable up to 2000 lb/ft. Electronic dynamic torque readout. Eddy current is adjustable vertically (screw mechanisms) and horizontally. Moveable on rollers with lockable mechanisms.
