Heavy-duty Transmission
Hicklin transmission dynamometers are designed for heavy-duty transmissions. Additional options can test in-line, V-drive, and angle-drive configurations. The dynamometer will accommodate all sizes of off-highway transmissions and both power shift and manual shift, including drop-box and remote-mounted configurations. With the correct control console, the Hicklin dynamometer can test Voith, ZF, Renk and the family of Allison transmissions as well as others. Dynamometers can be designed for all sizes of cross-drive transmissions. Military auto transmission applications such as the 4L80E and THM units can also be tested. Hicklin's patented electronic throttle control gives the operator complete and precise control over input to the unit under test while ensuring compatibility with the shift characteristics of automatic transmissions.
