Electric Drive Eddy Current Tester (EDECT) for medium- and heavy-duty trucks, mass-transit, off-road, construction, military, and cross-drive applications.
This transmission dynamometer will test various transmission sizes and configurations including on-highway automatics, drop-box, off-highway, and military applications. Many municipalities use this dynamometer for metro bus transmission testing. National Guard operations have found the EDECT ideal for its low floor-to-floor time and quiet operation.
Efficient direct electric drive delivers full-torque capacity from 0-3600 rpm, bi-directionally. Electric drives from 125-150 hp are standard. Custom drives up to 2,000 hp are available. Hicklin's patented electronic throttle control gives the operator complete and precise control over input to the unit under test while ensuring compatibility with the transmission shift characteristics.
