The Black Widow from SuperFlow is a breakthrough in versatility and performance among water brake dynamometers. The improved design incorporates the industry leading Powermark base frame and engine cart making engine adaptation simple. With a maximum speed of 11,000 RPM, the Black Widow handles anything from high-torque diesel and marine engines to high-revving drag engines. It is rated for 3,000 HP and 2,500 lb-ft. of torque. Integrated starters mount directly to the dyno so a bell housing, flywheel and engine mounted starter are not required. The torsionally compliant drive shaft connects the engine to the dyno enabling you to run right off the engine’s crank shaft while 4.5” constant velocity joints ensure smooth power transfer.

The included roll around engine docking cart offers great versatility to adapt to various types of engine’s and its stainless steel runner means easy adjustment of engine supports without any rust. The cart is also compatible with both the SF-Powermark and SF-902S to allow maximum versatility. The tool tray has cutouts for storing spark plugs and lambda probes. To keep the test cell neat, the integrated boom assembly houses both the sensor box and cooling tower, plus it has cable stays to route transducer wires cleanly between the sensor box and the engine. The included non-pressurized cooling tower mounts to the boom assembly behind the dyno, out of the way. The new sensor box also mounts to the boom and includes 4 liquid crystal displays (LCD) to view any channel from the WinDyn® software system. WinDyn’s® pre-defined test sequences allow for standard tests at the push of a button so you’re up and running immediately and the live trace feature lets you see live data as a trace over a saved reference plot.

We’ve included all the tools you need to make a SuperFlow engine dynamometer a successful piece of your business. WinDyn is preconfigured with industry standard tests to get you up and running quickly. But, we didn’t stop there…. We’ve also included powerful configuration and test editors that offer you complete, customized control of the dynamometer, the test cell and the tests you’re running. WinDyn’s available 139 data channels let you measure and analyze data to make your products better. The advanced data acquisition system samples data at 1,000 Hz while WinDyn displays it at 100 lines per second so you’re sure to see exactly what’s happening with the vehicles your testing. SENSOR BOX

The SuperFlow sensor box is the brain of the 139 channel WinDyn system. Its advanced electronics measures high-resolution data at 1,000 Hz and sends the data to WinDyn for live monitoring. Input channels handle temperature, pressure and air fuel sensors while calculation channels handle formulas, interpolation tables and memory. The included real time weather station uses a barometric pressure transducer, air temperature sensor and humidity sensor to provide constant atmospheric updates to WinDyn so WinDyn can apply the proper correction factor (ECE, DIN, SAE, STP, etc). The sensor box is also the brains behind SuperFlow’s legendary closed loop PID control for accurate, loaded testing. Its flexible dual-mode control scheme allows either the dyno or the throttle to control to speed, torque, power, manifold pressure or any other channel of your choosing. Sophisticated logic lets each controller use up to four different control modes and parameter settings. The sensor box is modular so it can easily be configured for different sensor arrangements, with additional sensor panels or with options like OBDII and emissions measuring equipment. For convenience, the sensor box is mounted to the included boom so it’s removed from engine vibrations and frequencies yet still in a place to easily route sensors to and from the engine.

Operator Station and Control Console

SuperFlow engine dynos come standard with a purpose built operator station that include a control console to control tests, control engines and control the entire test cell from one console. A throttle cable, computer with two 22 in. LCD monitors and an operator table that seamlessly integrates each part of the system round out the setup. The control console features a touch screen that acts as the interface to the dyno allowing users to setup tests and monitor test commands while the two monitors display test data live on the left screen and graphical data post test on the right screen. WinDyn's legendary load control system is both precise and flexible for unmatched closed loop control. Three manual control modes are also available through the manual controller mounted in the console. This controller allows manual control to torque, RPM or percentage of load which keep operators in control during break in and warm up routines. Four programmable buttons in the console control ignition, fuel pump, starter and an auxulliary engine function like an electric water pump while six available toggle switches can be wired into the test cell to control and switch items like lights, water pumps, exhaust fans and other test cell items. WinDyn® runs on the included PC and handles all the live data monitoring and post test data analysis and graphing. The two 22” monitors make viewing and graphing the data from WinDyn’s® 10 unique screens easy and completely customizable.
